Brian McCarty is an internationally known toy photographer, who played an important roll in the Art-Toy and Pop Surrealist movements. His artwork takes a unique personal perspective to document his manufactured figures, and uses them to artistically express himself. He has featured in several books and has received notable praise in such places as CNN, The New York Times and The Telegraph.
I find his work to be beautifully constructive with a wondrous dark element, which is shrouded in mystery. I love the locations he chooses which seem to perfectly fit the subject, making the photographs seem completely natural, although the scene as a whole is out of the ordinary.
